The Sandy MacDonald Hockey Program

The Sandy MacDonald In–House Recreational Hockey League is a low cost, low commitment hockey alternative for boys and girls of all levels. The Sandy MacDonald Hockey Program focuses on teaching basic hockey skills and sportsmanship in a no check, low pressure environment that fosters a love of hockey. Teams will be formatted after the evaluation dates listed. Players must attend an evaluation day. Fees include team jersey when you sign up for the hockey program.

    • Mites Cross Ice: Ages 8 & under (birth year 2011)
    • Squirt: Ages 9 & 10 (birth year 2009, 2010)
    • Pee-Wees: Ages 11 & 12 (birth year 2007, 2008)
    • Bantam: Ages 13 & 14 (birth year 2005,2006)
    • JV/Varsity: Ages 15 & over (birth year 2002 and younger)

Required Equipment

    • Hockey helmet with facemask (wire cage is strongly recommended)
    • Shoulder pads
    • Team jersey
    • Hockey pants
    • Athletic cup (male) or pelvic protector (female)
    • Elobow pads
    • Ice Hockey rated gloves
    • Hockey socks
    • Knee and shin protection
    • Hockey skates (skate rentals $5/class)
    • 2 Hockey sticks

Policies

ATTENDANCE POLICY

  • For safety reasons parents are required to drop off and pick up skaters inside the building
  • The Mid-Hudson Civic Center inc. skating school and its employees do not assume responsibility for children participating in classes at any time
FAMILY DISCOUNT

  • Second family member qualifies for 10% off the lowest priced program
  • The family discount is not valid on Open Freestyle
PAYMENT POLICIES

  • Payment in full due upon registration, no exceptions
  • Returned checks will be charged a fee of $25
  • There will be no refunds, no exceptions
WITHDRAWAL & REFUNDS

  • There will be no refunds or credits
  • No exceptions
MAKEUPS OR CREDITS

  • There will be no makeup of substitutions except if classes are cancelled by the school
  • Schedules are tentative and subject to change due to enrollment and special events
  • No sessions will be held July 4
